Tracey Vieira

Tracey Vieira is the Chief Content Officer for Emmy® and BAFTA Award winning film and television production company Hoodlum, operating globally between Australia, the US and the UK. Tracey joined Hoodlum in September 2019 after five years as CEO of Screen Queensland and works across Hoodlum’s full development and market slates. 

Since joining Hoodlum, Vieira has worked on expanding Hoodlum’s global slate across scripted and unscripted television and feature film with productions currently in development with partners including Netflix, Stan, Paramount, ABC, CBS International and A&E amongst others. 

She has produced the 2022 Netflix number one global hit A Perfect Pairing, feature film Christmas on the Farm for Stan, Executive Produced the popular Five Bedrooms, the ground-breaking musical series In Our Blood and the recent feature Land of Bad starring Russell Crowe, Liam Hemsworth and Luke Hemsworth – which went on to more than 1,000 cinemas in the US and premiered globally number one on Netflix where it had extraordinary success.  

Vieira graduated from QUT with a B Ed. majoring in Film & Media. She worked in events, including roles at Queensland Events Corporation, and was Executive Manager-Locations & International Production with the Pacific Film and Television Commission. From February 2014 to August 2019, Tracey was the CEO of Screen Queensland where she led the organisation through significant cultural change and growth.  

Tracey was named in the 2018 Australian Financial Review 100 Women of Influence and is the 2016 Telstra Queensland Businesswoman of the Year. She currently Chairs the Asia Pacific Screen Awards, is Chair of Griffith Film School’s Advisory Board and is the current President of Screen Producers Australia. 

Tracey is a passionate animal advocate and spent four years as a company director for RSPCA Queensland. She was recently recognised for her contribution to film and television with an Honorary Doctorate from Griffith University
